I commenced a B. After a year settling our family into a much bigger city, I enrolled and completed my B. I majored in Political Science. During this period, I watched our three children grow into amazing adults. Shot-put, discus, javelin and my favourite, hammer throwing.
I never stopped telling stories, or as my husband called them — long-winded tales. That was when Livia and Magda told me their incredible story. Every minute in his company, whether he was emotionally distraught or dancing with his dogs, was a pleasure for me. It tells the story of one person, which is relatable and identifiable to readers even now, giving them a sense of hope at times of trauma. It's one man's story but it tells the story of millions of others. I always hoped I'd get the opportunity to tell her story, the story of an incredibly brave young girl who we can all be inspired by. We have got to stop accepting girls and women as spoils of war.
